What language is it? my cursory search on the internet said it means "elder" and/or the language possibly is from Chad in Africa.

I worked at a job recently and as it ended I made a good friend. We spent time yesterday having coffee talking about all kinds of things from work, to resumes to family and his girlfriend and it all ended with discussing the Lord Jesus Christ. Friends want the best for each other. So if you are my internet substack friend then that makes two!
It's a local dialect in Uganda and I certainly want to best for others. You seem to be a religious man and yet you were not offended by my mocking of organised religion. That is a trait I value highly so good on you, mukulu!

I have another mukulu in Uganda who is running Global Seeds of Hope which started a Christian school. I don’t remember where but it is doing good for the local area.
